Childhood Development Center

Our Childhood Development Center

From the youngest members of our community to those getting ready for kindergarten, Peacock’s experiential and inclusive curriculum is designed with all children in mind.

Our Curriculum

By utilizing aspects from several well developed curricula, we create thematic-based investigations grounded in the interests of the children. Our curricula focuses on cultural celebrations, seasonal changes, and more. Reggio Emilia, Montessori, High Scope, Creative Curriculum, and multiple Outdoor Place-based Education curricula are philosophical areas that we embrace and utilize daily.

Our Approach

Ours is an integrated approach, with each theme interwoven throughout all elements of the day. Including the conversation over snack, activities during circle time, morning projects, and outdoor games and explorations. Pre-academic skills, especially for the older preschoolers, are embedded in fun and meaningful ways to help develop important foundational skills necessary for kindergarten and beyond. Children with learning differences can be easily integrated into our classrooms, as all activities are individually guided and adjusted to fit each child’s unique abilities and interests.
